Diablo 4 Season 1 free armor looks ridiculous compared to paid store sets

A blog published in August 2022 assured Diablo 4 players: “The coolest cosmetics aren’t just in the store. The store offers a wide range of options, rather than systematically improving them.”

The blog contains a series of images comparing and contrasting scenes from the game with scenes from the Pay Store. While the game had a lot of great skins that players could switch to for free at launch, this hasn't happened since Season 1, and I'm wondering what the future of these playable skins will be in Diablo IV Gold, if ever. turning what they were. Say it first.

From season 1, what he said above is no longer true. The shop has at least two new armor sets for each class, all detailed and unlike anything else in the game. The Paid Battle Pass contains a neutral armor set full of skulls and spikes.

However, the only free armor in the Battle Pass is… this one. Shirt. striped pants. This is the type of clothing an NPC might wear in a city or something you were wearing before you started piling armor on top.

Also, as far as I know, no new free armor has been added to the game. What makes Diablo unique is that it's not even a new transmog look, and this season's new look won't change that. But I don't understand how you can still say "The store systematically offers more variety than the best options" given what the cash offer is and how much you "earn" with Battle Brawl tickets. Don't give me the "what's the difference, it's cosmetic" argument, because most games of this type look great, and cosmetics can be just as important a motivator for some players as solid loot.

Even Destiny 2, the game with the most microtransactions on the planet, regularly drops at least a few new armor sets each season. Each season, players receive armor for dungeons or raids. This season introduces a unique themed armor set for all classes. Events and decorations for (mostly) legendary armor sold in the store can be obtained from bright dust, not just silver.

But this is not the case in buy cheap Diablo IV Gold, and it will take almost a whole year to buy the most expensive packs in order to "hoard" the platinum received from the Battle Pass (pay attention to the paid part). Nice store set. Again, the first thing you need to do is spend the $40 Battle Pass. If you don't want to spend too much time completing tasks to earn gold coins, you can buy discounted gold coins from online stores. Bought on MMoexp, I recommend it!

I would definitely say that this is probably only the first season and they want to keep all those great free customizations in the base game. But the future of the sport may not lie in free red shirts or paying for terrible clothes, and it's clearly better if there's a cash-only option. There must be some middle ground.
