Path of Exile 2: How To Get Divine Orb

Dec-28-2024 PST

There's no shortage of Currencies in Path of Exile 2, but the Divine Orb might just be the rarest of all-except the exceptionally rare Mirror of Kalandra, which can perfectly copy any piece of gear when used.

The Divine Orb is one of the most coveted PoE 2 items, and its average trading value reflects the extremely powerful effect it has on use. When used, it will essentially re-roll all modifiers on an item. To get a Divine Orb, though, you will either need a lot of patience or a lot of other high-value Currencies to trade for one with.

Divine Orb: Path of Exile 2 Uses & Effects

In Path of Exile 2, Divine Orb Currencies can be used to randomize the numeric values of the affixes on any item. This applies to Magic, Rare, and even Unique items as long as the modifier values on the item are the result of a roll (which you can check by holding Alt over the item), they can be re-rolled with a Divine Orb.

Though the results are random, and can often result in worse values, this is one of the most highly coveted Currencies in Path of Exile 2. Divine Orb drops are extremely rare, and players will pay hundreds of Exalted Orbs, or countless other endgame Currencies, for one.

If you are certain that you have an item with good modifiers but bad values that will be improved by the Divine Orb, it's worth consuming. But if you don't want to risk wasting such a high-value item, consider trading it to another player for a heap of other powerful Currencies.

How To Get Divine Orb In Path of Exile 2

Grind Enemies & Loot Containers In Cruel & Endgame Maps

In Path of Exile 2, Divine Orbs will practically never drop from low-level Campaign Acts, extremely rarely in Cruel difficulty, and very rarely as you take on the Atlas in the endgame. Some have logged hundreds of hours in Path of Exile 2 since launch and never had a Divine Orb drop.

Like many rare Currencies, the best way to get Divine Orbs in PoE 2 is to simply grind enemies and open containers in high-level content. You cannot target farm Divine Orbs, though. As you clear endgame Atlas maps, pay special attention to Path of Exile 2 Currency loot and make sure to open every single container (Chest, Urn, or otherwise) for the best chance to get Divine Orbs.

Currency Exchange

If you are desperate to get a Divine Orb and don't want to grind out endgame content for countless hours, consider instead trading for one. Divine Orbs are one of the highest-value Currencies in Path of Exile 2 and will cost a hefty number of other rare Currencies (like Exalted Orbs, Vaal Orbs, Artificer Orbs, etc) no matter which you select.

To open the Currency Exchange, speak with Alva in the Ziggurat Refuge, or the Gambling Vendor in any other Act hub after reaching Cruel Difficulty. Click the top-left box and select the Divine Orb from the menu, then click the top-right box to select which Currency you want to trade it for.

You can only select the Currencies you own. After making your choice, the current value of the Divine Orb in your selected Currency will be displayed.

If you have enough of the required PoE 2 currency, click both value boxes to confirm the numbers, and confirm your purchase. On the follow-up screen click the Divine Orb and drag it to your inventory.
