Path of Exile 2: How to Level Up Quickly
If you want to start getting better equipment drops and seeing that rarer Path of Exile 2 currency and Path of Exile 2 items, you're going to need to level up quickly in Path of Exile 2. Thankfully, gaining XP fast is a relatively straightforward process, so here are a few tips to help you on your way to hitting that level cap.
How to Farm XP to Level Up Quickly
Honestly, the best way to level up quickly is to just follow the main story campaign. Completing each of these quests will give you much more XP than if you try to fight everything in sight, so just focus on sticking to the story, finishing each Act, and getting to the endgame content.
You'll also want to tackle any side quests as and when they come up to maximize the amount of XP you get from each act. These are also going to grant you bonuses like Support Gems, which will strengthen your slotted skills.
Of course, both of those things are easier said than done, and you'll likely hit a few walls along the way. If that happens, there are two things you'll want to do:
Revisit previous areas
Take a look at your build, equipment, and gear
Revisit Previous Areas
When it comes to revising previous areas, there are two ways to do it. First, take a look at the level you're at. You can then revisit places where the monster level is just slightly below yours, which is often the area you were just in before you hit the wall. Going back here and taking down creatures will mean that the enemies are rewarding high enough XP, while also being easier to take down.
Secondly, it's worth revisiting areas and creating new instances to farm. To do this, go to any entrance to an area with an orange door sign, hold to enter the area, and select Create a new instance. This will reset and respawn everything that was previously on the map, so you can have another go at an area, fight bosses, and see what new loot drops. You can do this on any of the previous areas, though for this, the lower the level, the easier it is to blast through. With this method, you'll want to just rinse and repeat, tackling areas you find the least challenging over and over again.
Check Your Build and Gear
If you're trying to blast through the campaign, you'll also need a cohesive build that works for your class. Search for a starter or specifically a leveling build for your character, that will focus on getting you through the main story. See our Early Mercenary Build, for example, or our Sorceress Frozen Explosion League Starter Build.
These are designed to help you clear areas and push through to the endgame without too much hassle. This will make it easier to diversify your pool of areas you can revisit, too. The further you get into the game with your build, the more areas you can revisit, meaning the more gems, loot, and XP you can farm.
