How To Plunder Loot

A pirate adventure wouldn't be complete without some Plundering, which is a great way to get loot and items in Skull and Bones. Plundering refers to singing one of the many different settlements and resource camps throughout the world. While your crew will take care of the groundwork of gathering loot and cheap Skull and Bones Items, you will need to fend off reinforcements.

How To Choose A Place To Plunder

You can view an info sheet about a location by hovering over it on the map or by looking at it through the spyglass. This info is similar to what you learn viewing an enemy ship. The list includes possible loot you can get from plundering in a list - and more importantly, there is a recommended ship level in the top left corner.

The guard towers and enemy ships in the area will be at or around that level, so make sure you aren't biting off more than you can chew.

How To Plunder

You can plunder any non-Outpost settlement you find. This means if you can disembark at a location you cannot plunder it and vice versa.

When you get within range of a plunderable location, you will have the option to hold a button to start plundering. Alternatively, if the location has guard towers, you can attack them and the plundering will start automatically.

Once the plundering has started, a gold progress bar will appear at the top of the screen, with multiple treasure chests on it. Each time a chest is reached, some loot can be gathered, so you don't have to complete the plunder fully to get rewards.

Progress will stop if there is an active Guard Tower or enemy ship in the area, denoted by a gray outline in the water.

If you leave the area, the plundering progress will pause, and if you are out long enough it will end completely.

New enemy ships will appear after each chest in the progress bar is reached and the guard towers can respawn if enough time passes.

While viewing the outpost you are plundering - either on the map or through the spyglasses - you can hold a button to call for help, which will notify other players in your world to come to help out.

Once you have fully plundered a location, you will need to wait sometime before you can do it again.
